Dear Reader,
How are you? How about your day? Have you taken some time to talk to GOD sincerely today, except by going to church? I mean, you can go to church without a genuine connection to HIM, right?
Sad truth.
So have you?
This is one of the things that ache me, honestly. We often resolve GOD as someone merely the genie in the bottle that will likely give us three wishes and is subjected to our desires. Guilty as charged. I have been like that. I see HIM before as someone who looks down from heaven trying to wait for what will be my “request” so that HE can grant them without really thinking about what I just prayed.
Growing up, I learned that the GOD of the BIBLE does not work like that. HE is to be feared and revered. To be given the highest adoration and respect. Well, it is okay to ask for something, but this should be in line with HIS will. Our prayers should be for HIS GLORY alone.

Please, please, please, try to seek the Truth. If you are a Christian, please do try to know if the GOD that you are professing right now is the GOD of the Bible, not the god of your mind. A lot of faith movements have been sprouting these days and there are very thin lines between the JESUS of the Bible and the Jesus that some of the modern faith-movement is professing.
It is utterly dangerous.
It is saddening the way professing Christians right now perceive GOD as someone full of love and denies the other attributes like HE is GOD of Justice. Yes, HE is love, but there are other attributes that we should know for us to serve HIM rightly and what HE truly deserves.
If we only know that our GOD is the “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY GOD”, we would tremble on our knees and worship. But no. We have known HIM lesser than that. I struggle with that too. It is so easy to be swayed by counterfeits. So easy. But upon reading this letter, I hope it is high time for you to be a Truth seeker. Search the Scriptures. You are not alone. I am also here. I am trying to seek HIM more the way HE should be sought. How? I think this verse speaks volumes,
“The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”
-Psalm 145:18 (ESV)
Notice the last part of the verse, “those who call on HIM in truth.”
“Our prayers should reflect the character of GOD as revealed in history, in Scripture, and most of all in JESUS CHRIST. They should take into account GOD’S will for us.”
-Mark D. Roberts (Call on GOD in Truth)
GOD is close to those Who call HIM on Him in Truth.
Knowing GOD is not about our “feelings”, knowing GOD is the constant immersion in the Scriptures.
May we truly learn to worship the GOD of the Bible, and not the god made up by our minds.
Have a good night. Grace be upon you.
Sincerely,
Kryz.
