Dear Reader,
i found an article on my old FB account (which i could never open again because i needed to remember my password) about what i learned in our chemistry class back in 10th grade. i was not really into numbers because i dunce at it, so when our chemistry teacher presented a concept rooted in charles’ law, i haven’t much focused on the formula in arriving at the answer about pressure and volume’s relationship, however, someone who is in love with metaphors, i tried finding a second degree of meaning out of such chemistry concept.
So, this is the article:
charle’s law has something to do with the pressures we’re all facing. ff we perform the activity using a deflated balloon placed on the mouth of an Erlenmeyer flask, as it will be heated by the flame underneath, you’ll see a hidden message beyond the tip of an iceberg.
as scientifically explained, at constant pressure, the volume of gas expands when heated, which will cause the inflation of the balloon. otherwise, when cooled, it contracts. it’s way more about the relationship between the volume and temperature of gasses if pressure is at a constant pace.
carrying the metaphor further, the volume does the same if the pressure increases. in reality, we’re all somewhat being experimented on as a trial. we are the deflated balloon. at first, we’re being harnessed through the fury furnace of hardships. but this is the only thing to make a diamond stronger—through the fire, through high pressure, to increase the volume until we finally become the person GOD wants us to be, one thing is for sure, to conform us Christians, in the image of HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST.
like the deflated balloon, it isn’t bound to be just that; it is bound to be bigger, for it is the only way to outshine its former shape besides blowing it.
so if you are having a wave of misfortunes now, in all sorts, remember that the more you’re being challenged, the more chances you could take to be stronger. it shouldn’t make you weak; come on, pressured moments call for another level to maximize your character.
to make you better.
to make you in the likeness of CHRIST.
thus, GOD’s Word is practical as it is written,
…and may i add from that old literature.
being pressured comes in various ways. wanting to get a job, getting ahead with school stuff, pleasing your parents, keeping a relationship going healthy, chasing that childhood dream of yours. may you, in all ways you can, balance the way you want yourself to achieve something. sometimes we put too much pressure on the pursuit of patching our desire to achieve it. remember that too much pressure will also make things disperse in disorder. that deflated balloon will eventually be bigger, and if given too much pressure to shape it, it will also explode. we don’t want to be exploded badly, don’t we?
balance things as if you knew the right formula in dealing with them because i think you know the formula for dealing with the world’s seemingly pressuring activities. may we learn to surrender our deflated balloon to GOD, Whose power and knowledge in solving stuff encompass all scientific solutions in the world (well, HE is science HIMSELF, and more than that.)
thanks to charles’ law and to ma’am rebecca for this life lesson.
goodnight & grace be upon you.
Sincerely,
Kryz.
