Dear Reader,
I’m gonna be sharing to you something that I’ve written from a year ago. Being yourself isn’t always a good thing. We are always encouraged by today’s culture to be ourselves. What we feel is what is right, therefore we need to act upon what we feel. It’s okay to speak filthy words when you are angry because you’re just being true to yourself.
It’s not a problem anymore for this culture if you engage in sexual activities at an early age, outside the context of marriage, because you are just fulfilling what your body wants and you are just reacting to what your body feels. You’ll be supported by almost everybody when you come out as someone who you feel who you are because you’re just being true to yourself. We feel that we are doing the right thing because we are just being authentic to ourselves.
What we need to know is a lot of times, our authentic nature is our sinful nature. Our authentic nature is lazy, deceptive, selfish, and lustful. Feelings shouldn’t be the standard of our reality and morality. Our feelings doesn’t need to be met every single time, and we have the capability of ‘not’ entertaining our feelings.
To every individual who claims to be a follower of Christ, and to everyone who had the opportunity to read this letter and wants to follow Christ, we are called to “Deny ourselves and carry our cross” when we follow Him (Matthew 16:24).
Have a Goodnight.
Grace be upon you.
Sincerely,
Paul.
